Visual Lanague Week 12

This week in the lecture, we cover the topic of typography, we were shown how lettering had developed over the millenniums. We were shown how the form of lettering change- from the first Phoenicia alphabet to Greek alphabet which lead to Roman capitals- to the changing of of lettering itself- Uncial script, half-uncial script, Carolingian Minscule, humanist script, – and how printing change the face of typeface forever-Gothic script, Venetian script.

We were also given an new assignment- the last one of the sesmester- which involves drawing a self portrait and then expressing it in/with typograph.

And in the lab, we presented our semiotic colleges to our class- all of which were of high quaility in my opinion.
